Born Gergely Szabados, raised in Hungary, now rooted in the Sintra hills of Portugal.
I have been playing music my whole life, but for a long time I kept it mostly to myself. Then something shifted. I started sharing — in forests, in yoga studios, at the ocean, in living rooms — and I discovered that music does something to people when it is offered with openness and love.
It breaks things open. It brings people together. It reminds them of something they forgot they knew.
That is what Play Music People is about. Not performance. Not perfection. But the real, living, breathing thing that music is when it flows freely between people.
I teach guitar, I lead kirtan and singing circles, I organize retreats and gatherings — all grounded in the belief that music is medicine. That it heals. That it connects. That it is one of the most profound gifts available to every single human being on this planet.
You don’t need talent. You don’t need experience. You just need the willingness to begin.
